Jurassic World Dominion release date

Whilst the film had originally been slated for a 2021 release, it has now been pushed back to June 10th 2022 due to filming delays surrounding Coronavirus. After it was announced on 07/10/2020 that some crew members had tested positive for Covid-19, production was temporarily halted again, but this shouldn’t effect the new release date.

What’s the plot?

The exact plot details of Jurassic World 3 haven’t been revealed, but it’s fairly safe to say it will follow on from the events in Fallen Kingdom, where we see that numerous dinosaurs have escaped into populated areas. This latest instalment might focus on an attempt to contain the dinosaurs. However, it might have already gotten past that point by the time we re-join the characters, and we might see a world that is learning to adapt to having them inside the population, the same way we behave around predators like bears and tigers.

When it was announced that the much-loved characters Dr Alan Grant (Sam Neill) and Dr Ellie Sattler (Laura Dern) would be returning for Jurassic World Dominion, some fans stressed that it might be another short cameo, like Jeff Goldblum’s fleeting appearance as Ian Malcolm in Fallen Kingdom. However, the producers confirmed that the return of Dr Alan Grant and Dr Ellie Sattler would be in major roles!

Talking of Jeff Goldblum’s lovable chaos theorist, Ian Malcolm will also be returning in the new movie. Director Colin Trevorrow said in an interview that the original trio – Goldblum, Neill and Dern, helped to craft much of their characters’ dialogue in Jurassic World Dominion.

Will Dominion be the last Jurassic World film?

The producer of the movie has confirmed that this will not be the last movie in the franchise and will, in fact, start a new era of the Jurassic Park legacy where humans have to learn to co-exist.
