Top Boy 2 – March 18, 2022

Technically the fourth series of Top Boy, if you count the original two series on Channel 4, ‘Top Boy 2’ will land on Netflix on March 18th. It’ll follow the continuing power struggles between Sully, Dusane and Jamie as their gangs fight to dominate London’s drug trade.

Better Call Saul Season 6 – Part 1: April 19, Part 2: July 12, 2022

The incredible prologue to Breaking Bad concludes with this sixth and final season. Bob Odenkirk will don Jimmy McGill’s suit one last time, for 13 episodes. The season will be split into two parts – a run of 7 weekly episodes will air from April, and then the 6 final weekly episodes will air from July.

Obi-Wan Kenobi – May 25, 2022

Disney

Set a decade after Episode III Revenge of the Sith, Obi-Wan’s standalone series will start with the Jedi watching over a young Luke Skywalker on Tatooine, before embarking on an adventure. Ewan McGregor is returning to the role as the titular General.

Stranger Things Season 4 – Part 1: May 27 2022, Part 2: July 1, 2022

The long-awaited fourth outing for the demogorgon-busting buddies is due to hit Netflix at some point in 2022.

The above teaser, which was released seemingly forever, ago showed Hopper alive and well – but in some sort of Russian work camp. We can’t wait to see what unfolds in this next season!

The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power – September 2, 2022

Set thousands of years before the events of The Hobbit and the Lord of the Rings, this epic series – which is billed to be the most expensive series ever made – will follow characters that we know, such as young Elrond and Galadriel, as well as some all-new characters, as they fight against the rise of evil.

The Pentaverate – 2022

Created by Mike Myers, The Penteverate focuses around a group of men who have controlled world events for the greater good, dating back as far as the Black Death. ‘The Penteverate’ was referenced in Myers’ 1993 film So I Married An Axe Murderer. Myers will play 7 characters in the series.

House of the Dragon – 2022

The eagerly awaited prequel series to Game of Thrones is well underway. Focusing on the Targaryen civil war (which took place 300 years before Ned Stark got called to King’s Landing), the series is based on George RR Martin’s novel Blood and Fire. When last asked about the release date, the president of HBO said, ‘my guess is sometime in 2022.’

Much to the delight of fans, Tim Burton is directing a brand new series based around America’s favourite spooky household – The Addams Family. Wednesday will hit Netflix at some point in the next 2 years. Jenny Ortega will be playing Wednesday herself.

The Last of Us – 2023

Pedro Pascal (The Mandalorian) and Bella Ramsey (Game of Thrones) will star in the TV adaptation of the bestselling game, which focuses around a man and a little girl as they travel across a post apocalyptic America, which has been destroyed by a fungal plague that turns humans into dangerous monsters.
